Requesting data deletion

How to delete your messages and ask us to remove other account data.

You can delete your messages and other content at any time through the Privacy settings, or by contacting our privacy team directly.

Delete all messages

  1. Sign in at web.fluxer.app/login.
  2. Open User settings (the cogwheel at the bottom left).
  3. Go to Privacy.
  4. Open the Data deletion section.
  5. Click Delete my messages.
  6. Choose what to include. To delete all your messages, include every conversation type and community, use the All time range, and leave "Only places I can't access anymore" off.
  7. Review your selection and click Delete messages to confirm.

How long bulk deletion takes depends on how many messages you have sent. Section 7.3 of our privacy policy explains how long deleted messages take to leave our systems.

Delete specific data

Email privacy@fluxer.com from your account's registered address, with details of what you would like removed.

Before you delete

Section 8 of our privacy policy explains that deleting a message also deletes its attachments, so export your data first if you want to keep them. If you are closing your account, delete messages before account deletion finishes.
